Cowboy's Antics

Naturally Collin (6) is in Bastrop with his Mimi and Papaw. He spends every possible moment there. We live 4 hours from his grandparents so as soon as school is out, he is gone. I miss the little fart though. His interests are trucks, tractors and motorcycles. How can one person focus on vehicles so much? Kindergarten was a challenge because it interrupted his time with his trucks.

What Damon's Been Up To

We just set up a new pool so Damon is in Heaven! I have finally found a way to get him away from video games! Diabetes camp is coming up in July. He always loves that. He's always been a ladies' man but this year he had his first real girlfriend (He's 11.). At the end of the year I asked him if they were getting back together. He said, "No, she's kind of let herself go."

Our Funny Family Creed

If the Richards had a banner with our creed on it, it would say:
It wasn't me. Be quiet, Daddy's sleeping. You can't do that in the house. Shut up!

About Me

I'm a late bloomer, no question. It is taking me forever to accomplish what all my friends attained 10 years ago. Oh well! I'm only 40. At least I have plenty of things to keep me busy for the second half!

It is with some reticence that I describe myself as eccentric. The first few times I was told that I am eccentric, I rebelled against the idea. However, I am learning to embrace it. I have to just be who I am. I am thrilled when I meet other people who loves themselves in cyberspace, movies and books, who can discuss politics, literature, movie stars, spiritual issues and concepts foreign to the average woman. Suzie Homemaker I am not, nor will I ever be. But you know what? It's really fun being me! I get these big ideas and while I shoot for the stars, I may only reach the moon yet at least I left earth! Don't try to shoot me down. You can't change my plans. I just may not tell you what I'm up to!
